Lost to Time

To the fore.
Strike iron while it’s hot.
I won’t let this shape me anymore, no.
Warmth and candor fill me once again.
Even so, the deceitful path takes devotion.
Assurance is on my side.
I walk fortified.
Who’s to say we’re moving in the right direction.
We have surely taken steps forward, but it seems our strides have turned to
stumbles.
Who is to say we are moving in the right direction?
For every answer I find,
three more questions arise.
Three more people I leave behind.
Let me find my steady foot, and when a wall stands in my path I will not give
it sight of my back.
These destructions are my enemies.
They will suffer, you will suffer.
Crumbling under my will.
I’ve been thrown back.
Seeing myself detached.
Further than ever.
It will take more than efforts to turn this distance into progress.
When walls stand in my path I will not turn.
Let’s push against the current.
Don’t meet me half way.
This trip is mine to take.
