High Noon

Don’t run at high noon if you don’t like the sun
Don’t feed me a line, it’s already been done.
The race is over and the tortoise has won.
Did you think that I’d be yours forever?
Don’t swim with the sharks, cuz you’re gonna get bit.
People like you think the shoe doesn’t fit,
But you won’t to try it on, you’re such a sly hypocrite.
Will you ever man up? No, no never.
High noon, from the heat you cannot hide,
You can jump in the saddle but you know you can’t ride.
The sharks are circling and they’ll snack on your pride.
Baked or boiled or battered and fried.
Don’t run at high noon if you’re looking for shade,
There’s no where to hide in that bed that you’ve made,
You’re wearin' no clothes in an outlandish parade.
When you’re exposed you don’t seem very clever.
Don’t dive in my pool if you don’t like to swim
My cup runneth over, it’s filled to the brim,
And I am a choice, not an option or whim.
Love is not a business endeavor.
Baked or boiled, covered in oil,
breaded and broiled, battered… and fried…
