Throw out the problems, of past gone wrong
Learning the lessons, of where you belong
What can you do, but regret and lose
Distractions building up, a graveyard noose
The present a future, lost in despair
No going back, a clock can’t hear
The beats and drums, sound of gun
Focus is found, when on the run
Going back to the lake, where all is ok
The only worry, will I catch anything?

Shut off the future, how to plan for
Feeling alive, growing for more
Never knowing, where you’ll find new ground
Aware to adapt, a square or round
Maybe a triangle, a line from a dot
Sparked from a dream, not left to rot
Holding tight, just a little longer
Extending the present, just a bit stronger
