My Kingdom Eclipsed

This wretched place again
Defiled and stained, shrouded between the curtains
Where I once laid, is now a graveyard of your sin
And it won’t let me leave
And as the dreams unveil, I see your face
But something disappeared
I feel the emptiness of life and dread to look upon you
For who is it I see
Where are you now?
What have I become
It feels so real, but I wake
Panic rising through me
Wake into nightmares of the past
Time and time again
Failing to grasp their meaning
This eerie messenger of dark, has come to take away
The only place that I could rest, and now I dread to visit
It takes on many forms but none appeal to me
From sadness it is born, and portrays the fear I cling to
And as the dreams collapse, I hear you call my name
But something’s missing from your voice
You’re not the one, I gave my life for
You’re not the one, I once died for
Where are you now?
What is left of me
I sense an eclipse in my dreams
And when I wake up from this hell
I’ll take the fall again
