Why We Try

I used to be capable.
This used to be unconditional.
Just had to wait a little while.
Some things never heal.
I hope I don’t look like I feel.
Fix some things but it won’t make a dent.
So the question is.
If we expect something better, things don’t just move forwards.
Remember why we try.
I’ve been through enough.
I don’t want to ever go back to all that playing games stuff.
Just like being on the same page with you.
We both shake our heads in disgust at certain words and phrases but it’s never
enough.
Keep thinking about it but my words get stuck.
Keep trying but I’m shit out of luck.
