Another Yesterday

I am not perfect, my person and work is worth less
Than something worth nothing
In it’s worst mess; recovering
Yesterdays decisions set pivoting on the axel of grace
My mistakes that I constantly get reminded of
We were doing fine and I really felt we were growing
But little did I see seeds sown
The bitterness; turning, watering thoughts
Contributing to the abort, fought with everything caught
Then falling when shown the flaws
Walking I felt mature and unveiling all of my sores
Team no stress — finally had something to run for
Finally gave me a finality to this new decade
But the sins of the past will always be
Cause if they don’t let it go, how can I forgive me?
Judgment around my throat, yet you expect me to breathe
A ring around you finger is all I sought to achieve
But that Wednesday morning convo, it gave you courage to leave, uh!!!
Staring a debt I can’t afford to pay
I could say sorry but it’s all in vein
