Winter Wall

May, June, July and I guess August marks the end.
It’s easy for me to be stressed when
the season says what every cynic says.
«All good things come to an end.»
Now I’m questioning our pledge.
I confess
Sometimes I get nervous
About the good things and how long will they last.
I think overall
When summer fades to fall
That’s when we’ve given up
That’s when we hit the wall
As for me and you
I’ve made some plans to push us through.
Winter won’t bring me down this year.
I’m over prepared.
I bought all the right supplements
so compliments on my common sense for
Painting a pretty picture on some cardboard.
That can block our eyes from all the ice and snow that still outside.
