It’s been a year since i’ve seen virginia
been a year now on my own
lord how i miss virginia
i feel an ache down in my bones
guess i never really understood
what i had till it was gone for good

country comfort in a calico dress
she was always so together
i was always such a mess
she gave me shelter, gave me wine
