Ad Inferos

Seas darken as the black moon rises,
cutting through the restless waters,
filled with pride and glory she fares,
this wretched blade of wood
The mist thicken, no winds to fill her sails,
ship wrecks welcome us beneath,
shattering the ancients
and the bodies of their dead
That laid there for centuries
and many more to come,
forbidden waters she breaches as we march on,
be manned by only fools and brave
searching for the riches,
the riches they have found
On the seven seas we sail,
may the winds be in our backs,
towards the blacks and mysteries we row,
Ad Inferos!
Emerging from the depths below
such beauty never seen,
with chants of an unknown tongue
she calls for her sisters,
these creatures of flesh and scales
Enchanting voices rise
from the waters mesmerizing,
subsiding everyone that listens,
stunned by their incantation
The song is sang, no turning back
slowly rotting away
while life passes you by,
you’ll wake not from their spell
Withdrawn from all our worries
they welcome us into the waters,
so innocent they seem
Abandoned she laid there
pinned against the rocks,
condemned to eternally await
for another to tame her
This wretched blade of wood.
