Remember back when I would fantasize of making a big
Hustle hard sign a deal and get my mom in the crib
We had to wait until the first to get some food in the fridge
It’s kind of crazy when I think of foolish things that we did
I used to sit inside my room steady making them beats
I did an album with my brother now we don’t even speak
But not for nothing hand to God this ain’t how it should be
So if you hear this know I love you least you heard it from me
I used to talk to all my friends about me being an artist
We all wanted the same thing I chose to chase it the hardest
So I focused on myself and stayed away from the gossip
I always had the kind of dreams of really trying to kick knowledge
All I thought about is what if I just shot for the stars
Didn’t care when no one thought and I just gave it my all
Like I’m 'bout to double down really battle the odds
A hard worker but I’m sick of this job

My freshman year they used to tell me that they love the flow
Nowadays they just hear me on the radio
See me around and always say I knew you’d make it though

From sleeping in my car to getting recognized in public
From doing free shows now they coming with a budget I’d be lying if I said I
didn’t love it I’ve been counting blessings
Stressing less than I used to 'cause I’m doing well
And if I wasn’t chances are you probably couldn’t tell
For real it’s like they want me to fail wind up dead or end up in jail
