Break the glass, drop the mask
To what’s been given blue
Cross the bridge, another task
Only another fool
That was heading, nature, calling
Straight to the head
In the way, a tilted tray
Falling will always tread
What do you expect, from the trend
Of all the roads I’ve crossed
Rarely have been, meeting a friend
Most don’t give a toss
For what you’ve been through, another tool
The only question is who will pay
For the spill, a matter of will
Always the same each day
Some are forgiving, on with the living
Mistakes we all have made
Only human, held for ransom
It’s all about what you trade
Could be a little, some say a drivel
That you can never repay
Sorry to say, it just the way
Not always the month of May
You’re left all alone, a stranger to home
Good luck with getting through
So many others, will try to smother
Any time you’re new
Just the ways it goes, a world to know
Nobody told you the fare
Pay as you go, even when you’re thrown
Only filled with despair
But then the mother, help to recover
Where you ought to be
A little help, no need to yelp
She knows just what you need
Another douse, this ones on the house
You have paid enough
Lend a hand, when trying to stand
Fences around the trough
You’ve waited for ages, the one has faded
From the modern scene
Diving in caves, escape to save
Waiting for the dream
To go much further, change the weather
Now are playing for keeps
