Sometimes when I’m digging, a brand new hole
Nothing will stop, cannot control
Feel the roots, from the tree that knows
Could be days or years
Cursed or blessed, call it a quest
What you found, a brand new jest
Rising above, the birds in nest
Letting go my fears
Going round again
Another cycle, another trend
Have I been here, will I be again
Nobody knows how the road will end
Other times I rest and looking for signs
Waiting all day, drunk on the wine
Clearing the head, open the mind
Seeing what comes through
Could be the same, repetitive bore
Getting strange, reaching the core
Sun or rain, you can’t ignore
The steps in front of you

Ignoring the rules, the wise man said
Change of the scene, rise from the dead
Walk across the bridge
Into the fog, how far does it go
The troll responded, only you will know
Every step, a past will show
Wide or a razors edge

What to do next, become unfurled
Starting over now
