Energy Seasons

I walk around scanning the scene
With a third connecting my dream
Of one and all, separate but together
Changing faces, places, and the weather
All while drinking or thinking
Of ice, liquids, or vapors smoking
Clocks unsure where they’re going
Only to imagine for growing
Rising up, ideas of beliefs
No stop signs for ones in seek
Not defined yet, but to be a player
Spectators object, success or failure
But cycles keep going, energy seasons
The butterfly gives hope from returning
Not knowing why, all to abide
Internal remains, all new outside
Will I remember everything after
Objects released from their splendor
I feel I will, the only matter when still
Can’t define why, but to keep going I will
