Eye of the Storm

There’s a place I imagine has my escape
Where my impression is new and hopeful
I lie awake, knowing my heart is worlds away
From ever feeling like it is safe
Watch and wait for the next phase
Soon enough everything will change
Want to stay calm within the eye of the storm I’m standing in
I’m forced to move with it or I will drown
It will not let me out
Never thought I’d end up here
I am lost
Cannot see beyond these shields of wind and rain
Walls of doubt and fear contain me from making waves
I have heard some people say
You’re the sky and everything else is the weather
Nothing is meant to stay the same
Can’t get caught up in what’s standing in the way
If you find yourself trapped within
The eye of the storm you must find a way through it
Chaos will try to cloud the light
It will take you over if you do not fight
