Do you have someone in your life that cares about you no matter what?
That would do anything and everything he can to make sure you’re okay even when
it’s not convenient
I do
You see, my earthly father works perversely harder than the average dad
He showed up to almost every game I had
Which was insane I’d add
What was going on in his brain I’d ask
He worked so hard that there were holes in his shoes
He wore those shoes to work even in the pouring rain
Normal parents would say you’re insane
But he sacrificed to provide for my sibling and me
He even skips meals so his children can eat
Yet I don’t take enough time to appreciate him
Dad, thank you
Thank you for putting up with me
Even in times when my character is ugly
Thank you for being tough on me
Never think you aren’t enough for me
But most of all
Thank you for being here

Why have you stayed with me
No matter what sin I commit
You’re still here, thankfully

Yet I try to clench it with juice
As if that ever works
You could’ve forced me to love you

That type of love was foreign
