My generation’s got this sense of entitlement
Done a lot for themselves but no one else, yeah that’s the irony
Seems like nobody’s listening when the sirens speak
But it’s hard to blame us, maybe we just practice what they preach
What will I tell my daughter when she asks why people are bad
And I’ll be sad 'cause I wish the answer was simple, never has been
So how long until cynicism is gone

He got no skin, no pigment, if we only had that wisdom
We could manifest a change within the confines of the system
Now our morals have never been so distorted

Our debt is enormous, but of course it’s not really important
As long as we make sure we got others thinking we’re gorgeous

We are distressed so in turn we digress and our

These egotistical lyrics are turning our kids into misfits
Deliriousness encrypted to be specific
The subconscious mind is designed to get addicted
So now who’s the victim
And now it seems we’re all vindictive, look it up
Hearts full of revenge 'cause someone wrote it in a song
If it’s a change that we seek then how are we so blinded
Some artists have millions of fans and I’m asking why do we get along
As humans we’re so drawn to selfishness, we’re all self-obsessed
Nevertheless it’s something we hate to address
We all say we want what’s best but I’ll tell you what
We should be breaking down barriers, not trying to put 'em up
We better hurry up 'cause is time ticking
We gotta change our thoughts because
Our actions are way too contradicting
And I don’t think that it’s too late
But if we want a better tomorrow it’s gotta start with today
