Old Habits

Everything is sliding
Into place on my shoulders
I carry the weight
There is a magical space
In time where no one is
No one is on my side
It takes a long time to forget
Gently swaying in this mess of regrets
I’ve been waiting to place the bet
Heavy hangs the head
Hangs the head
It goes to show i’ve lost control
Dragging myself through the dirt
To be secure i have to obey
The world just likes me mad
That’s not ok
