Waiting

got back from the sky now
swept out by the clouds
felt like the first snowflake
to hit the ground
waiting, waiting
when i left my city
got so far from home
i found myself driving
down all the same roads
i keep looking for something more
oh, what a decision
and what a mistake
relying on lostness
to give me my way
hoping, hoping
the first one to tire
the first one to fall
asleep on the highway
with my head on the door
passing lonely cars heading home
