Within, without
this empty shell
blown about like autumn leaves astray
i’ve been outrun
my deeds undone
the winter comes to take me away
then you sweep me up
in your arms of love
and you change my tears to joy
paint my world with
the promise of your love
take me apart
re-mould my heart
a looking glass image of your character
renewed within
it’s still sink or swim
my will alone is not enough
overjoyed and overwhelmed
my words alone cannot relate how
wonderful it feels
am i falling?
hold me, teach me,
mould me, steer me
help me to be more like you
each step i take
sweep me up

change my tears to joy
