Forgive And Forget

Well it’s a better life I’ve been leading
Since I found out about the bleeding
That was done to save this wretched soul of
mine
I used to laugh at the best of them
Now I’m right here in a nest of them
Full of a joy that can only be divine
Cause the Lord said …
I want to forgive and forget
Won’t you let me?
But I said, Nothing doing Lord
You’ll have to come and get me
And I fought it for awhile
But then I just had to smile
Cause I let the Lord

Well it’s a narrow road I’ve been traveling
And the road keeps on unraveling
But sometimes I get the urge to turn around
Well it’s amazing how foolish I can be
To hang onto my sin when it’s forgive me
It sure is amazing grace, how sweet the sound
When the Lord says …
I want to forgive and forget
Won’t you let me?
