On the Outside Again

I’m on the outside again
Left before it began to take hold
Every end needs a place to fit in
But it’s over
I’m looking over my shoulder
As my world descends further
Why’d I push you away?
If only I could hold you one more time in my hands
I would never want to let you go
Not knowing when to seize the moment cost me my chance
And I’ll have to live with never knowing
Looking for a new friend
Getting tired of the same old shame
No offence but it’s hard to believe with no purpose
Afraid to place the last card on
This empty house I created
Staring at my own reflection
As I try to look beyond my window
My breath keeps me from seeing through
Should I just break the glass?
