growing pains

How could I say that nothing’s changed
When I’m staring into a brand new world
I’m losing my innocence as I turn a new page
And getting caught red-handed and out of time
But I’ll prtend that it’s fine
And I’ll wait to wake up on th other side
How are you better off going in when you’re blind
Falling further out of sight and out of mind
Fall short of conscience and cordial wisdom
I don’t know how to feel about it
I’ll grow into my inhibition
But will it pass with time cos I doubt it
It doesn’t come down to what we want
It only grows out of what we need
And these daydreams are getting so old
Just waiting to fall between
But I’ll pretend that it’s fine
