Sometimes I get lonely??? cause I fear love??? s not there
So I tell my own story to rein in my despair
Sometimes love don??? t always come in ways you want it to Ain??? t always there in times of need
Sometimes love decides one day it??? s gonna go away
And leave a fragile heart to bleed
Like an autumn breeze to leaves love can be like a rake to your heart
And like a reef to a floundering ship it can tear you apart
So too will the passion for someone who was so close to you at one time
Sometimes time can heal the wounds of a suffering heart
More aptly though it dulls the pain
Sometimes time will still the memory of a suffering heart
And then you??? ll want to love again
Like castles in the sand will erode with the rising tide
Or a picture that will fade in the sun as the time goes by So too will the passion for someone who was so close to you at one time
Then there??? s the dreams of times that we both shared in love sometimes
Here I can taste your touch with one last gasping rush sometimes
Savour that fleeting thought as it fades in the mist sometimes
And it??? s that dawning thought that??? s just so hard to take sometimes
Sometimes fear of what the future has in store for you
Can change a love into a need
Sometimes fear of what a love is gonna do to you
Can cause a fragile heart to grieve
Like shadows in the night can play tricks on a timid heart
It can lead you to believe what ain??? t true from the very start
And I wonder if I??? ll ever feel in love again
