Hold To This Truth

I hold to this truth that will always remain
A promise of life that can’t be contained
Though outwardly we are wasting away
Our life is renewed every day
We fix our eyes on what remains unseen
This vital truth
There is life through the blood of the one who was slain
And Your love overwhelms in the midst of my pain
There is peace for the soul and release from the stain
I hold to this truth, that Your love made a way
Mercy’s gift forged through great sacrifice
That I might live though this body will die
