Sometimes it’s not me, it’s just a vague fear
And a bleeding doubt that haunts me
It takes me over, gets me all out of control
That’s when I give it all
And still I face the wall of your defenses
Sometimes I’m willing, to drift and wander
In the shadow of this feeling
Right out of balance, like a kite without a tail
If it could only avail
When all attempts do fail to break the fences

Burying past times, burning bridges
Against the icy winds of sorrow and dismay
