Darkness as Black as Evil

Dead inside, my eyes
Beheld a room of blood
A hospice for the faded
Needles carved the exit
Into the halls
Where my portraits hang…
Wards within infirmaries
Forever bleak
Dishonored to be
When none doth dwell
But the patient in I
Where I will dine alone and writhe
My eyes
See down beneath
The surface of the floorboards
My eyes
Grow through the walls
I see… my soul and memories
I disgrace
This myriad spectrum
Sliting the Retina
Blind I am
When the past returns
Needles carve their way into the nerves
Barbed flesh
To die in its light
Soon the light will die in black
And I will suffer alone
