dear mom,
my heart is surely crying.
beyond what i first agreed,
beyond the sight of me
her pain always comes down between
you and i. dead right.

and if i told you why, because its
branded on
our hearts.
the constant cycle of failing the ones
that we love.
you can’t stop the sorrows of wishing
the well wasn’t dry.
they dance the dance only jesters have.
nothing in this life has changed so much
that i can’t even speak out the truth.
