The buses are crowded
The taxis are filled
The cold rain is thundering down
Everyone here’s in a rush to get there
Each of them wearing a frown
The weather’s as awful as I can recall
And yet I’m still smiling in spite of it all

Outside and in me
A constant reminder it’ll all be all right

And the last thing I think of each night
It’s hard to be happy
With the world as it is
Danger in every direction
But we’re all the same in our joy and or pain
And our need for a deeper connection
Why some just keep searching for somewhere to land
But me I’m just fine wherever I am
