Braids

She lost her clothes at the door,
It all make sense now why could it not before,
I know now, what I didn’t then,
Embedded in my head by a ball point pen.
She’s weaving though my head like braids
Under and over again,
She stays awake behind my face, every time I drift away
I wish she knew

Storms they form between me and you
She goes tangling up my mind again,

Cherry burns and liquor stains
Blocking of my vital veins

Each word’s a stick of dynamite
She haunts me like a ghost most days

She wraps around my neck like braids
