White man down by the river
They tell me your a victim of pride
And by the look you were giving them
Self taught master of shame for
We are all sinners inside
So why should I then bother now to try
Heart is caught up in a tangle of trees
Mind is defeated and light on the breeze
Dollars and sentences
Second class citizen
That’s no way of living
Though we can not afford to lose your cool

But I see soon you’ll leave us friend
All those countries
Dream like places
And Foreign faces
And Open spaces
Seem much easier
From your desk back home
Your desktop throne
YOur mothers slide show
She said the 70s seem so much more my own

In a safer place I asked them what my life was for
Cause no one there is scared of being wrong
