When the Colors Come Back

I take pictures with my eyes
To save me from changing times
And shuffle my feet up to the door
Turn me inside out
Waiting for the run-aground
But I don’t wanna wait here, anymore
I get so nervous to look you face to face
But I shouldn’t worry, if things take the time they take
Yeah it’s okay…
I’m turning over for the second time
It’s not everyday…
Can I get away for a little while
And just like the ink under my skin
I’ll be there, when the colors come back again
When they come back…
So then there it was
Spent time in empty parking lots
Listening to stories on the news
People say 'Let it be'
It’s all god’s, guns, and misery
But I don’t wanna be the one to lose
