Deep breath, hold it in
Big smile, keep em happy
These parties are all the same
Brights lights line the courtyard
Stage set, cast on scene
I try to look past all the make-up
But as they talk at me admittedly I start to think
My heart drops when I see the crowd

I watch as they perform the play

How long should I wait?
Before I squeeze past the hallway strangers
Find my keys, grab my coat, give a nod to the host
Is the coast clear?
