I was flying in my spaceship, I was in my little ship
On an inter-planetary pleasure cruise
A trip relaxes thought I, as I rocketed along
Spacing out on outer space’s views
Reactor blows I lose control we start to smoke and burn
Into an alien atmosphere I’m hurled
Crash landed on this Earth-type planet somehow still alive
I then began to scan this strange new world
Everywhere guns. Monkeys with guns

Seems to me I’ve landed on the Planet of the N. R. Apes

I’m on the Planet of the N. R. Apes
The apes were armed with every kind of firepower known
Protective of their right to shoot me dead
So I flashed a friendly peace sign just to put them all at ease
They shot at me and captured me instead
Well they held me as their prisoner until I was old and greet
'Til I stole this ship and made my great escape
And now I’ve landed back on Earth but I don’t think I’ll stay
'Cause all I see is lots more N. R. Apes.
