Sort of like marching
The way our feet strike the rhythm to our day
I’m keeping time now
But I was once having trouble keeping pace
Sort of like dying
The way we have to sing about our memories
I’ve wear a smile now though
I couldn’t be any happier to see that old dog go
And above, beyond those towers of steel
You can find the limit to where these roads may lead you
That glaring sun blinds what we might find
But we have got gold glimmering inside
Potholes along my way, I’m getting tripped up
Barriers are in my way, I’m dodging demons
So far these scars have reflected
The toughness that I have touched
But in the distance you can see
Great expanses, miles of sea
Horizons and a gold sunset
No we’re not close to done yet
