I’m my devil’s advocate stepping in to save him
Should all judges decide his guilt, nothing ever tames him
Nobody dares to look at him, afraid they’d might feed his anger
Nobody testifies the truth though everyone knows
I’m my devil’s advocate, what do you hold against him
He’s been laughing behind my back, now I choose to turn and face him
Maybe the price is high to pay it, not that I can’t afford it
Maybe you’d like to see me pray and maybe I won’t
I’m my devil’s advocate in a court of liars
Sentence him but keep in mind being different shouldn’t lead to trial
So now that you found no evidence, the devils you hide take over
Your false witnesses won’t speak the truth, yet all of you know
