Bonny Island

I’m covered in scars they’re all battlefield marks
From protecting myself and the riches I’ve robbed.
Broke my liver and lungs from the drugs and the rum.
Still as sharp as a shark at the slight scent of blood.
I will bury my gold deep in the dirt and far from the cold where only I know.
Then I’ll take out my map and I’ll follow it home.
Like my ship I’m a wreck I just want to be back.
