Atomic Desire

One day, she’ll learn to hope
But, today, she has to cope by
Hacking away at her body and
Hating herself as a hobby
Her head points down when she walks and
Puts herself up for the auction
Sells her love for reassurance
That she really is so perfect
She’ll try to live a little every day but
Spaces just to escape
The daydreaming is all she has
She hates healing
Her fate is the past and
She’ll try to try on occasion
Sit back and forget the frustration
But waiting for fate to take place makes
Her feel like a waste of space and
Faking all of her emotions
Then the daily doses of potion
To make her feel she’s gleeful
Or forget she’s broken and lethal
