Whitecaps

I went down under whitecaps
They swallowed me whole like a tiny grain of salt
I thought that I’d died, when I opened up my eyes
to see the great unknown, with the water in the sky
Well I went to sleep on the ocean floor
I began to weep, my tears rolled up onto the shore
I woke up in the very nick of time
There were rescue divers shining underwater lights
I slipped into a cave, but I don’t know how long I stayed
They thought I’d passed away in a watery grave
You say words aren’t easy, but you love to tease me
You come out to give me hell, then it’s back into your shell
