Treacherous Waters

Treacherous waters, it’s darker than night
I’m hiding my face away from the city lights
My companions have left me, they’ve all made new acquaintances
They’ve tied my hands and tossed me to the waters
I do what I have to, to keep my head from sinking
I’ve cried «Oh Lord, have mercy on them»
I’ve learnt to seek the shadows, I prefer the silence
The taste it is bitter, and I’m standing still
The Belvedre shines brightly, it’s up upon the hillsid
Everyone is gone and the night time is still
The water isn’t moving, the air it is lifeless
My body aches and my senses are gone
