Oh love of the north with a dream in his hand
my love has come home to this beautiful land
And he comes through the door with his eyes like the sun
and his kit-bag all full of the treasures he’s won
A bottle, a broom, an old foreign tale
The shell of a clam, and the jaws of a whale
my kitchen is full of the smell of the sea
and all the fine things that my love brings to me Come gather your treasures, a garden in bloom
