Well I walked into the honky-tonk with that jukebox blarin loud
There was some rednecks and some hippies, and some business types about
And the topic was country music and then a bar room fight broke out
So I jumped on the band stand sayin let’s clear up all this doubt

Well a friend of mine played bass one time, tried to sing like old Hag
Till he finally had to quit his gig cause his wife did nothin but nag
He said boy things ain’t what they used to be
We argue every day
I want to listen to Kitty Wells, she loves Billy Ray
