Dichotomy

My mind awakes it’s most emotive state
In preparation of sound creation
To escape the perpetuation of a cycle of self degradation
Maybe if placed in the proper context
These painful concepts could trigger the onset of a new mindset
Designed to get the self to exercise some appreciation
Different effects for different applications
Turning frustration into motivation
Isn’t an equation I studied at school
In life I’ve struggled to acquire these tools
But the desire to be a self sufficient supplier of ideas fueled by action
Immortalized in a flash
Then framed with the caption «he exudes satisfaction»
Is what I’m chasing
But out of arms reach it keeps escaping
Need to step up my pacing
No point in placing blame on any that exists outside my flesh frame
From the Midwest it came on a Greyhound bound
To make manifest these thoughts through sound
Maneuvering around what seems like an overflowing sea of dreams
Where many float face down
So I’ve learned to embrace the up and down pace in a race where humans compete
and consume or defeat their demons
If they believe in the need to do so
For some it’s crucial and I don’t refute those views
Nor do I subscribe to a dogmatic tribe of sheep
Grazing
Soon to be a shaven
Flock of sacrificial lamb chops
'Cause ultimately no one knows where the soul goes when we decompose
So I suppose it’s essential to live life to it’s fullest potential regardless
of environmental or circumstantial situations that seem substantial
The fact worth facing is the space you’re placed in is never coincidental
