Overused History

so easy…
something so simple
as to not care
what separates us from the outside world.
who becomes another cog in the machine?
the promise that rings true
the first two months
then it fades into obscurity with the rest of them…
with the rest of them.
a barrier erected between people
where there should be none.
saved by sincerity,
perpetuated year after year.
a simple solution to care.
