I’ve heard of souls entwined
United by a drop of blood in a calice of wine
It’s not like I’m longing for shedding some blood
But how will you ever know the nature of my love
Pleas are for beggars and promises for charlatans
You do neither and neither do I
Although I wish we did
Simpletons always get each other in the end
Sometimes I wish we’d be a little more like them
In your stories you never name th characters
But I’m the one who flips th pages over
Are allegories efficient to convey the meaning?
I think I’d know if they did
I know your features by heart
I can hum them without looking at you (x3)
Without looking at you at all
Maybe we should stop pretending we’re too smart
