Absorbed in the deceit
We feel the axiom depart
I’ve seen the crushing hands of karma
Tear lives apart
Sit and lament
As I descend
I find no solace in the lies that I’ve built
And I repent
To circumvent
Made no bones about the wounds that I’ve left
I swear I’ve tried
But the guilt is eating me alive
A recurring throe
To plunge me deep below
When I’ve fallen

I will be braced for the worst
