Good Day to Be Alive

See those rain clouds coming in
Living life head down again
It’s the same old sound again
If there’s a way out, count me in
Sometimes I want the first train out
And sometimes I feel, like I’m just drained out
Sometimes it’s like I’m walking the road straight ahead
But every step I’m moving back, time and time and again
Sick of this bus stop, sick of the bills, it must stop
Gotta be more than this, I’m making a mess, sit at this desktop
Isn’t there anything good left in this world, it’s like the waste took
All of my perspective, living in neglect,
Never seeing what is meant, all the good that I get
I wanna see the best, all the positive and then more
Why am I down, when I’ve got so much to live for
It’s a good day to be alive
And it’s a good day to realize
When the days get tough and I ain’t got much
I look around
I’ve got just enough
Working 40 hours just to get a check
I pay my bills, ain’t no money left
Try to find a way, wonder what is next
Just trying to do a lot with a lot less
And every day’s like a new chance
New beginning, new plans
I can only do so much
Working with these two hands
I’m in a fire
So sick of being sick and tired
They wonder why
I must cry, when I look to the skies
'Cause I don’t feel it
The God above just left me here
And every single second I must question, why he kept me here
Sick of this long road
Sick of the turns, where I go
Hopefully there’s some hope
I pull up my coat, I’m just a lost soul
