The sun let us shine
In million shades of blue
Sparkling white would blind you
Icy diamonds all around
We are immemorial
Nobody has seen our birth
Grown up in endless time
Raised up like a mountain
Moving slowly but surely to the north
As a part of a continental hike
The wind outside is howling
But inside there is silence
Silence over million years
Until the great crack
Awaken us from a long hibernation
Gave us birth to the sea
Born as a white giant
Cold, strong and mighty
Swimming in the cold ocean
Drifting dead slow around
Something has been changing
Now the sun is not only bright
But it’s becoming warm and warmer
Sweet drops of sweat
It happened subtly
Hardly to recognize
Maybe not important
Or at least dramatic
But yes, it happened
And we had no means to stop it
We can’t go back
We can’t turn around
We are a victim of the sun
Making the ocean less salty
Let the water surface
Rise a little bit instead
Slowly melting
Decreasing
Shrinking
Vanishing
Dissolving
Fading away
Gone at least
And at least only a minor part of the ocean
