Measured out the day in tablespoons of caffeine
Its Eight o clock in the mornin and I’m still too drunk to dream
Read the Sunday paper leave my Bible up there on the shelf
I don’t believe in angels but I still believe in hell
City lights shine down on the streets of NYC
Reflecting off the cars and all the people that you see
There’s no sound coming out of the speakers my radio’s been stolen
The only sound I hear is the ringing in my ears
There’s no more time for me to stay here
