My legs are kind of bowed from horses that I’ve rode
Through the salt bush and the sand
I’ve got that rock’n’rollin' beat from this rollin' saddle seat
Because I live in the never never land
I cooee out a song my pony jogs along
And he just seems to understand
I was born for the open life free from worries of a wife
Away out in the never never land
From drovin' on the track i’m nearly sunburnt black
And when the duststorms blow the sand
My language then is worse, unquenchable my thirst

I’ve never travelled down to all your high class towns

Our town’s a pub and general store, what’s the use of any more

I love the fun that goes with all the rodeos
When everyones out to show their brand

The boys will always dig you from the sand
I go for sweet romance at the rodeo dance
As we’re swingin' to the ragtime band
And when the boys are full of brew there might be a fight or two
