Some quite unusual day
I’m alone so late awake
The smell of morning breeze
Refreshing suddenly
I hear so quietly
The sound of joyous youth
Its embrace so soft and sweet
Feels so nice, I am complete

When kids we had such fun
At the age of nine or ten
The flowers were in bloom
Our faces happy smiles
Reddish cheeks and in our eyes
Is where the heart was shining through
Like a child again
Want to be that little fearless creature
Happy junior days
They renew my soul, my aging features

When the life strikes hardest in the future
I just want to say

Still find the grass so nice
When I lie down on the ground
Whatever is left behind
Whatever comes around
Still find the birds so sweet
When they mate in early spring
And when the first leaves headed south
